Say sayonara to the high temperatures and humidity, and wave hello to chilly mornings and crisp breezes—all of a sudden it’s fall! And with scarf and sweater weather comes a whole new season of outdoor activities that call for a warm beverage.

Each of the following drink recipes make enough to fit into a 24-ounce Thermos or other insulated beverage container. Stir them together just before you’re ready to hit the road so they’ll stay warm all day. Make them as is for an all-ages sip, or add in the optional booze pairings to spice things up for the grown-ups.

So whether you’re tailgating, parking it on the bleachers at a weekend soccer or baseball game, heading out on an afternoon hike, or doing whatever you feel like in the great outdoors, you’ll have something to get you started and keep you going.

Apple Cider Chai

Bring 2 1/2 cups apple cider to a simmer and add 3 chai tea bags. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 30 minutes. Whisk in 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.

Coconut Matcha

Whisk together 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons matcha powder together in a bowl. Heat 1 cup regular coconut milk and 1 1/2 cups other milk of your choice (regular, rice, almond, etc.) over medium-low heat. As soon as the milk comes to a simmer, remove from heat and whisk in the matcha blend.

Maple Mocha

Whisk 1/2 cup whole or reduced-fat milk, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon together in a saucepan over medium-low heat. As soon as the milk comes to a simmer, remove from heat and whisk in 2 cups freshly brewed coffee.
